my first in-person hackathon!
Not a new writing piece, but a long-belated video update to my YT channel! 🎥 This was the work of 20+ hours of editing this week (oof), but I’m super proud to have documented the experience. Check out the vlog here:
Last weekend, I attended Pinnacle, the Olympics of Hackathons in-person in Dallas, TX.
Pinnacle invites a team from each of the top 50 collegiate and high school hackathons to compete in this finale.
It was easily the three best days of this year, and I met so so so many cool people who’ve I’ve spoken with online (even got to meet up with Jacky and Anson from Reboot, and Ivan at the DRF panel there!). It was so serendipitous and fun, I would not have traded the experience for anything.
In 36 hours, my team created Intarstellar, an AR instrument with Magic Leap that allows you to create music that changes spatially (placing a note higher in the world means a higher pitched note, a note closer means louder, etc.)
